Botox Injections

Mostly known for application for cosmetic purposes, botulinum toxin or botox originally got FDA approval to relieve muscular spasticity in patients with cerebral palsy and strokes. It is this property that we use in patients that have muscle spasm in the neck area. Often in female patients these posterior cervical muscles are prone to spasm and this manifests itself as pain and sometimes headaches. By relieving muscle spasm the Botox can effectively eliminate pain.
